John McClure is the Special Operations Coordinator for Blue Star Security and has been with the company since early 2012. He holds a law degree and served as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation from 1995 through 2010. During his time with the FBI, John was primarily assigned to the San Jose Office and investigated crimes affecting the high-technology industry.
John’s primary role at Blue Star Security is to coordinate special projects involving high-value, high-risk freight flowing through Chicago O’Hare International Airport and to distribution centers throughout the country. He coordinates numerous large-scale projects each year which mostly involve high-technology freight valued in the hundreds of millions and which involve several hundred Blue Star Security employees. His secondary duties include providing consultation and security assessments to freight forwarding and logistics warehousing clients of Blue Star Security.
Eric Diaz is a retired Sergeant with the Chicago Police Department. Eric retired in 2019 after 25 years of service with the CPD. Eric has been assigned to units such as Patrol, Detectives Division, Fugitive Apprehension, U.S. Marshals and Narcotics. He is a licensed security contractor and licensed private detective in the state of Illinois. He has been with Blue Star Security since 2012 and holds the position of Special Operations Supervisor. Eric is responsible for scheduling hundreds of police officers during special projects which involve the protection of high-value cargo. He is extremely organized and has a special talent for fulfilling last minute requests from clients.
Kenneth Varchetto has been a police officer with the Chicago Police Department since 1995. Throughout his 25-year career in law enforcement, Ken has worked as a gang officer and tactical team member, and has been assigned to numerous mission teams that combatted gang, narcotic and property crimes. He is currently assigned to the 016th District on the northwest side of Chicago. Ken has worked with Blue Star Security since our inception and acts as a supervisor for our Special Operations Division, primarily focusing on supply chain security.
Frank Rodriguez became a Chicago Police Officer in 1996 in the 014th District before taking on the role of Field Training Officer. Frank then spent the majority of his career as a state-certified training officer at the Chicago Police Academy training police recruits. After nearly 9 years of training police recruits, Frank worked in the Central Warrants Unit as well as the Court Section Program. Frank joined the Blue Star Security team in 2018 and serves as a supervisor for our Special Operations Division. He also works in our Event and Production Divisions as needed.
